Pepsi Cola Embossed Ideal 55 Slider

This is an Ideal 55 slider box which was manufactured around 1955. The Pepsi-Cola emblem on the front is an embossed logo and has been handpainted along with the "Drink" and the "Ice Cold" lettering.

The machine runs and cools just like it use to. Bottles stored inside chill to 36 degrees and vend for a dime each. Ideal 55s can store up to 55 bottles in the rack in the top half, as well as pre-cool 80 bottles in the lower compartment. This includes soda, water, beer, or many other kinds of bottles as desired.

The machine has a new compressor, fan motor, temperature control, and wiring on the refrigeration unit. The top is new stainless steel. New gaskets have been installed as needed and the machine has a new bottle opener. New castors have been added to the machine to allow easier movement.

The interior has been repainted silver hammerite and the exterior has received a full base-coat, clear-coat finish. All chrome pieces have been replated. New decals have been added to sides and the lid's underside.
