This Pepsi Cola Vendo 56 is a stock machine that is ready to ship. Originally a bottle dispensing machine, it has been converted to vend twelve ounce cans. Vendo 56s were manufactured between 1959 and 1962. This machine has 7 shelves which can hold 7 cans each, vending for free or for a price up to 75¢.
This Pepsi's exterior paint job was redone by Harrison's Custom Rods in Englewood, Colorado. They did a beautiful job creating the base blue and white with a clear coat finish. New decals were added in the machine's original scheme and the piece has a nice original signface.
The machine's refrigeration has a new compressor, temperature control, fan motors, and new wiring. The interior has been cleaned, sanded, and sprayed with a silver hammerite finish. In addition to getting a rebuilt coin mechanism, the other vending parts have been cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted to vend correctly each time. The machine's lighting all works, too.
For a historic touch, the machine has the original installation and loading instructions on the inside of its door.
